Los Angeles-based Shiny Toy Guns are back with their sophomore effort Season of Poison, which includes new sounds and their original choice for a female lead ― Sisely Treasure.
Season of Poison was produced by founding members Chad Petree (vocals, guitar) and Jeremy Dawson (synthesizer, bass) and is the follow up to the band’s 2006 Grammy-nominated album We Are Pilots. The foursome, which also includes Mikey Martin on drums, have unleashed a new album that features dynamic late-’70s-style synthesizer programming, a keen lyrical pop sense and the mixing abilities of famed musical engineer Andy Wallace, known for his work with Nirvana, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down and many others.
On Tuesday, Nov. 25, Shiny Toy Guns came through Washington, DC, playing a killer show at the world-famous 9:30 Club and of course, stopping by Gibson’s Washington, DC Entertainment Relations Showroom in Chinatown. Shiny Toy Guns put on an amazing live performance ― check out photos of singer/guitarist Chad Petree rocking out on a Gibson SG Standard.
